An Exceptional Calvados
The best apples come from a small area in the department of Calvados: the Pays d’Auge. These apples are also used for Busnel. Only the old, traditional stills are used there. The people of Normandy claim that this is where the tastiest Calvados is made. Calvados is a protected name. Only apple distillates from that region may bear the Calvados name and are the equivalent of the Grande Champagne from the Cognac region. Busnel can rightfully call itself Calvados.
